The independently organized TED event takes place on 03 August 2013 in Aotea Square.<\/p>\n<p>TEDxAuckland 2013 gathered 2,500 attendees. After 7,000 global TEDx events, TEDxAuckland might have been the largest TEDx event, ever.<\/p>\n<p>My duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developed theme &#8220;convergemerge&#8221; (Convergence + Emergence) beautifully brought to life by Emma Rogan.<\/li>\n<li>Sourcing National Sponsors (<strong>Achieved<\/strong>: ASB Bank)<\/li>\n<li>Securing Event Partners (BizDojo)<\/li>\n<li>Building &amp; Coordinating Design Volunteers ( The creative crew of #scribbleAKL built an 11 metre-high DNA helix as backdrop!)<\/li>\n<li>Developing beyond-the-stage experiences in venue spaces (simulcast lounges, sensor art installations)<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating upfront English Transcription for TEDtalk Translation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a core organizer for TEDxAuckland.
