For the span of five years, from 2000 through 2005, I worked in grant-backed programs through the Center for the Application for Information Technologies (CAIT.org). At CAIT I gained expertise and insight in the development of tailored and interactive e-learning solutions for multi-cultural environments from Satellite Education to multi-modality learning projects at CAIT.org and at the Satellite Education Network (SEN).

In 2003, I was a Spanish Teaching Assistant via DirecTV. This US Department of Education program offered Spanish classes to over 500 High School students all across the continental USA.

During my time at WIU, I served as President, Vice President and Public Relations officer for the umbrella organization that represented 600+ International Students, Faculty and Staff. I worked closely with the Board of Trustees of WIU and successfully secured the purchase of the first International House. I was appointed by the President of WIU to the Strategic Plan Committee in Student Life in 2005 and was a member of the Implementation Committee in 2006. In 2007, I was awarded the Excellence in Multicultural Leadership and Diversity Award by the Office of Affirmative Action and the President of WIU.
