Instructional Design Sample Projects. (Also Design Education)
Between March and July 2015, I worked as a Design Education Consultant for UNITEC in one of their internal strategy projects for blended learning capability and how to communicate it with the wider faculty and staff.
From July to September 2015, I am working with New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) as a Design Strategy Consultant for their Capability Development Strategy for Researcher Digital Literacy.
I am working as a Learning & Design Strategy Consultant for the Culture and Capability Team of ASB in Auckland, New Zealand.
I worked at e-Blended Learning Solutions from October 2012 to March 2013. I led strategic initiatives in workforce training programs at the intersection of mobile learning and social media including gamification of training for companies in the financial, banking, energy, transportation and infrastructure sectors of New Zealand.
In March 2011, I was invited to be part of the 2011 Educational Base (E-Base) of 2041. The E-Base is located on the edge of the Russian Bellingshausen base in King George Island, Antarctica.
I developed instrument-specific training for end-users. I also managed and developed the localization work for Latin America.
I was the Instructional Designer developing the compulsory Multicultural Competency Training for the OHSU workforce (7,400 employees). This program represented an investment of 4,000 workforce hours. The program was developed in under 7 weeks.
Social Media Rockstars is a workshop I gave in 2009. It was based on trends, common misunderstandings and the outlook in the field.
I specialized in Social Media and Podcasting thanks to my experience on study abroad on a cruise ship.
I developed a Summit Planner and Agenda for the Chicago Convergence 2008. This document was made available as a PDF.
Designed, implemented and conducted training on Social Media, Search Engine Optimization.
As Community Manager, I facilitated the advance creation of 12+ student groups eight months prior to embarkation; Spearheaded early networking (sourcing for scholarships, planning of independent travel, creation of onboard life programs, simulations and seminars among others).
Designed the curriculum and produced a Higher Education Podcasting Series called NautiCast, which was recorded onboard the MV Oceanic II cruise ship.
My primary task was to evaluate, budget and design the pilot courses that could be used for integrating and rolling out iTunesU for a 15,000+ campus at Western Illinois University.
